Description
Remarquable ensemble.

1 vol. 4to. 58 paintings on mica, on coloured leaves. Contemporary quarter blue calf. Very nice Indian album featuring painting on mica, of large size and particularly well preserved. It is organised through different themes: mounts and various carriages: elephants, camels and palanquins (more or less luxurious), then people of small conditions (servant, nanny, cooks, etc.), then the dancers and musicians, then a part entitled: “A representation of the mohumum, a Mohammedan festival” composed with 9 plates depicting a religious ceremony. The last part is a gallery of portraits of 12 mendicants. All these images are captioned in English. Remarkable set.
