Title leaf, [2] pp. Contents, xv pp. Introduction. With 50 hand coloured plates and following leaf of letter press, interleaved with blanks. Half red morocco and contemporary marbled boards, printed paper label on upper board, gilt rule and lettering to spin, uncut edges. Boards scuffed and rubbed, hinges re-backed. Plates clean and fresh. A well executed and precisely coloured series of plates illustrating the costumes of the constituent nationalities of the Austro-Hungarian empire, including representatives of Upper Austria, Tyrolia, Hungary, Bohemia, Moravia, Sclavonia, Dalmatia, Transylvania, Bukowina, etc., etc., as well as Transylvanian Saxons, Polish Jews, and Greek Priests.
