Tall 8vo., 245 x 160 mm, bound in full, early 20th-century red morocco, with title in gilt to spine, elaborately gilt doublures, top edge gilt. Coloured end papers. Bookplates of "John Francis Neyland" amd "H.L. Tevis" on front pastedown. Excellent condition. WITH: Charles Westmacott, 'Points of Misery'. viii, 98 pp. With 20 woodcut designs by Robert Cruikshank. FIRST EDITIONS, later issue of 'Points of Humour' (with the first part on white paper rather than on yellowish tinted paper, and with the second part having the last line on p. 5 ending with the word "ran out" rather than "and did"). A fine set of the coloured issue of George Cruikshank's 'Points of Humour', uniformly bound with a fine copy of his older and overshadowed brother, Robert Cruikshank's 'Points of Misery'. Points of Humour lacks advertisements, small white stain on back cover of 'Points of Misery'.
