FIRST EDITION. Folio engraved title with hand coloured vignette and eight hand coloured stipple engravings [355 x 260 mm], watermarked J. Whatman, 1824. original buff coloured printed wrapper, skilfully re-backed and preserved in modern green cloth portfolio with red morocco title label and ties. A fine set of Russian Cries evidently from St Petersburg by the talented painter Polish/Russian painter Alexander Orlowski.
